The Video Production Coordinator & Production Artist is responsible for producing, recording, editing, and delivering high quality multimedia communications material to effectively represent  Get Set for School | Handwriting Without Tears | Keyboarding Without Tears (GSS | HWT | KWT)  products and services to customers and prospects. The Video Production Coordinator & Production Artist collaborates with Creative Services team to assist in final layout, proofing and pre-flighting files for a range of products, publications, packaging and collateral in support of Marketing and Product Development initiatives.


Job Duties

  • Collaborate with GSS | HWT | KWT groups to understand their video, motion graphic and animation goals. Meet the groups' expectations by consistently delivering the best product within corporate budgets.
  • Support script writing; produce, direct, videotape, and editi video productions into effective and quality multimedia communication on materials that communicate key messaging such as product demonstrations, workshop videos, marketing/sales clips, customer testimonials and training videos.
  • Coordinate production elements including scene progression, action sequences, dialogue, narration, lighting, music, releases and settings.
  • Research and contract with outside vendors for editing, sound recording, duplication audio mixing and other special effects.
  • Prepare audio and visual files for distribution via multiple collaboration channels.
  • Catalogue and maintain collateral material such as video recordings and images for historical record or future use in marketing communications.
  • Provide presentation services such as production of audio and visual assets including incorporation in presentation documents and file distribution across groups.
  • Collaborate with Graphic Designers to assure the highest quality of delivery for the Creative Services team.
  • Process images and graphics for production.
  • Check artwork for completeness and assure adherence to GSS | HWT | KWT standards before production or distribution of media.
  • Research and recommend updated presentation options and audiovisual equipment for use within the company.
  • Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed of trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning.
  • Provide webinar production support, as needed.


Required Education/Skills

  • A. or B.S in Communications, Broadcast Journalism and/or Filmmaking; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of audio/video production experience.
  • 1+ years related experience in design production or graphic design.
  • Solid experience of producing video, editing, encoding and digitizing process.
  • Solid artistic aptitude for type, design, color and concept.
  • Proficiently operate professional-level audiovisual equipment, specifically Black Magic Cinema Cameras, Mac & PC operating systems.
  • Experience in MS Office.
  • Solid experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro production software
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Acrobat highly desirable
  • Experience with livestreaming and webinar productions. Experience helping to manage and coordinate projects, supporting audio and video conferences over Webex, GoToMeeting, Adobe Connect, Skype, Google Hangout or similar technology.
  • Experience in interviewing skills, storytelling ability, and visual creativity.
  • Experience as voice over talent preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong creative skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once while completing quality work on a timely basis.
  • Comfort working with sensitive & confidential information; excellent ethics and judgment.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers.
  • Ability to excel in a rapidly changing environment and ease with evolving video and communications technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit or move about and stand for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends.
  • Ability to travel:
    • Approximately 6 trips per year.
    • Approximately 20 travel days per year.
    • Approximately 10% of working time.
